Today's card is a Sympathy Card.

Death takes us all sometime, There is a day that we are born into this world, and there is a day when we leave this world.

I am not going to give a Religious Speech, I am very religious and I have my beliefs. I honour all other religions as I would like them do that for me also.
I find them all very fascinating, and the most I love of Religion is the Praise of Love, Caring, Respect and Song.

It is such a sad time in all our lives when a loved one passes away, no matter the reason, BUT when SUICIDE is the factor, there are so many, many questions. So many guilty feelings, So many "IF'S" and "BUT'S". Shock, Upset, Bewilderment Pain and Anger.

I am not a Doctor, or a Psychologist, I am just a person a human being with a heart that beats, a brain that thinks and mouth that speaks.
In an much earlier Blog #whenyouarefeelingblue, I admit about  very dark time, I am always so heart broken when I here about someone has taken their own life. There are so many questions, and until you have walked in those shoes, you cannot understand, I too still don't know why? about me! I can only say how I was feeling. I don't believe it is the easy way out as there is NOTHING and I mean Nothing at all easy to contemplate then  follow through with taking your own life.

To the Family who received this Card, I hope it gives you Comfort and Healing, Don't beat each other up of what you can and cannot do, or have or have not done. Your loved one was so far lost in his own mind, he thought about his family, they would have been constantly on his mind. You and the immediate family might not know the actual scale tipping moment that sent him to his death.

All I advise is to remember him as the person who loved with all your heart, remember the good times, the funny times, the times when you both needed each other and you were there.
Remember his 'Dash' time, and Smile as he will be looking down watching over you all, as there was a different plan for him written long before.

The Dash

by Linda Ellis

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on the tombstone
from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read,
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent YOUR dash?
