I had a fellow ask me if I would make a cad for his wife for heir 10 Wedding Anniversary. Of course, I agreed to do so. I asked a few questions, mainly about his wife to get a picture of what she likes, Colours, Flowers, Bling, Traditional, Fun., and so on.
Obviously, I got that Mere Male smile, and a slight shrugs of the shoulders, Men, they don't like to admit what they know or don't know about their wives or partners, as it is not a 'Boy' thing.
But he very recently went out and got himself a tattoo. An Infinity Symbol with the word Love inscribed on it, similar the Image below but not the exact one?
He said would I add this to the card, As soon as I saw the Tattoo, I knew I could do that and the rest of the card was my own to play with.
Research 10th Wedding Anniversary and it's Gifts
Traditional is Tin - Aluminium - Foil
Modern is Diamonds
- So using the Layering Oval Framelits I cut out two Oval frames using the two largest Oval dies.
- Using the Lovely Word Thinlits I cut the word LOVE from Lovely.
Just with these two products and of course pieces of scrap Black Cardstock I was able to make the Tattoo.
Then I make these special cards they are a large A5 size card and I always present them in a Finished Box made to fit the card.
Using two Stampin' Up! 12" x 12" Cardstock for the Box the final measurements are
Box Base = 27.4 cm x 20.9 cm
Box Lid = 27.5 cm x 21 cm This is only One Centimetre larger in length and width but this is all you need, it is a lovely fitting Box and very easy to make.
With a 3 cm side on all four sides.
I use the 3/4" Circle Punch to Make a half circular shape for finger placement to help take the lid on and off the box.
I then decorate the Box lid to match what I have used or compliment the design of the Card
As you can see in the Photo I also sed the numbers 1 and 0 from the Large Numbers Framelits dies. I cut them out in Black and Silver Foil Cardstock and layered them just off centre so it gives a Black Shadow effect of the numbers and a more dimensional appearance.
